FUTURE SEARCH UPDATE - Day 1

The first step towards a single shared and agreed vision for the regeneration of the city was taken today at the beginning of the Future Search event.

Lasting three days, the event was opened by Mayor, Cllr Gerard Diver who thanked everyone for coming along to play their part in shaping the city's future.

Minister Margaret Ritchie then addressed delegates and outlined the opportunity Future Search offers participants to influence how Derry~Londonderry will develop over the next twenty-five years.

The opening session concluded with a presentation by Sir Roy McNulty entitled "A Single Vision".

Delegates then broke into groups to focus on past highlights and milestones locally, nationally and globally.
-
Proceedings on day one concluded with the focus on the present, specifically on the external and internal realities facing all of us.
